about

"Not gonna lie - despite the way I tend to dress and present myself nowadays – historically speaking, I wouldn’t call myself a “rebel.” Growing up, I never failed or skipped a class, I didn’t go to many parties, I’ve never put a cigarette to my lips and so on. That being said, probably the most rebellious I’ve ever been was right after I graduated high school because I didn’t know what was ahead of me. I was just barely a legal adult and had the rest of my life sitting in the palms of my shaky hands, so why not just say “screw it” and do everything I wanted to do all those years surrounded by my friends? Sometimes, you just have to live in the moment before the moment passes." - Sage Viscovi (Lead Vocals)

lyrics

Sneaking in late through the back door, how’d I wind up on the floor
Of this living room that doesn’t feel like home anymore?
So grip your bottles and your friends and all your little odds and ends,
‘Cause one day you might bite off more than you intend.

Feed your soul with fluorescent lights
And denim jackets cruising down the parkway at night.

Under the bleachers, flame in our hands.
Debilitated by our future plans.
I don’t want to go, but something’s pulling me by the wrist
So for now, let’s do the things that we’ll grow to miss.

Here’s for the kids who said they’d never settle down,
Raised in the backyards of a characterless town.
Truth or dare, you’ve got to prove a point.
Never look back at the place we destroyed.

(Stand on one foot and walk in a line,
Acting like you’re not losing your mind.)

We’re spoiled rotten in worn-out cotton,
With insolence written on our sleeves.

(Feed your soul with fluorescent lights
And denim jackets cruising down the parkway at night.)

Sunk in the alleys, poison in hand.
Try not to think about our future plans.
I don’t want to go, but something’s dragging me by the legs
So for now, we’ll take our stand too close to the edge.

(“If it’s not okay, then it’s not the end.”)

Here’s for the kids who said they’d never settle down,
Raised in the backyards of a characterless town.
Truth or dare, you’ve got to prove a point.
Never look back at the place we destroyed.
